The Pye-Barker Fire team is proud to announce our acquisition of Commonwealth Fire Protection in Bowling Green, Kentucky! The Commonwealth team will merge into our existing Bowling Green branch, becoming the dedicated sprinkler division for that location. We are excited to expand our service offerings for both Pye-Barker and Commonwealth’s customers through this acquisition.
Commonwealth owner Howard Ellis “Buggs” has over 50 years of experience in multiple areas of fire protection at the time of this acquisition. While working for others, Buggs developed the skills, experience, and knowledge that later helped him make the decision to start his own business. He always strived to conduct business with integrity, honesty, and commitment while focusing on sprinkler inspections, service work, and new installations.
Since the start, Commonwealth has provided the great businesses of Central Kentucky with the protection they needed to maintain safe environments. The business employs five qualified individuals that work hard and continue the emphasis on integrity, honesty, and commitment that the company was created founded on 18 years ago.
Buggs chose Pye-Barker for his exit strategy because our Acquisitions team left a comfortable, familial impression. As the conversation progressed, he felt like he was working with a family business who would honor its commitments and take good care of his team.
Commonwealth’s Operations Manager Louis Saltsman will be staying on as Sprinkler Division Manager for PBFS Bowling Green and will continue to supervise the existing Commonwealth technicians who are also joining us through this acquisition.
