Over 65 Years of Service

Iowa Fire Equipment Company was founded in 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa, with an initial focus on servicing and inspecting fire extinguishers. By the early 1970s, the company expanded into a wider range of fire protection services, including commercial cooking fire suppression systems, industrial dry chemical systems, and clean agent solutions. Over time, its offerings grew to include fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler inspections, allowing Iowa Fire Equipment to serve diverse industries across the state with comprehensive life safety solutions.

By the 1990s, Iowa Fire Equipment had grown beyond its roots in Des Moines, operating a fleet of service vehicles and opening a branch in Iowa City to expand coverage. Continued growth in the 2000s and 2010s led to new branch offices in Missouri, Indiana, and other states, ultimately broadening the company’s reach to serve customers in 16 states.
