Pye-Barker is pleased to announce their newest acquisition of Tampa Bay Fire, a company known for their quality customer service on the central Florida coast.  This family business has served the area for 25 years, and their employees will continue to do so as a new Pye-Barker location in Largo.  The owner, John, wrote the letter below as a farewell, both to his employees and his loyal customers.  We are proud to carry on the legacy that John and his wife built, and are looking forward to being even more available and equipped to respond to our customers, both existing and future, in the central Florida region. After 45 rewarding years in the Fire Protection Industry, my wife and I are retiring from Tampa Bay Fire Equipment.  We look forward to the next chapter of our lives, spending time with our grandchildren and family, possibly some traveling as well. 

It has been both our pleasure and honor to have served the people and businesses of the Tampa Bay area over the decades.  Due to the many friendships and other business relationships we have encountered, the decision to retire was not an easy one.  However, since our career has been both professionally and personally rewarding in so many ways, we are able to take all the lessons learned into the next chapter, and know it too will be successful.

Loretta and I would like to thank the many loyal employees that have worked for us over the years.  Without their hard work and dedication, Tampa Bay Fire Equipment would not be the successful company it is today.  We would also like to thank the numerous customers that we have served year after year; we hope the expectations were exceeded.  Through everyone, Tampa Bay Fire Equipment had countless extended family members.

The acquisition of Tampa Bay Fire Equipment to Pye-Barker Fire & Safety should be a seamless transition, as Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is known as one of the premier companies in the fire industry.

In closing, Loretta and I wish the best for everyone, we know you are in good hands with Pye-Barker Fire & Safety.
