Pye-Barker is pleased to announce our recent expansion into Kentucky through the acquisition of Pro Fire Extinguishment. Owner Aaron Jarrell grew the business from a one man, one truck operation into the thriving, full-service fire protection company it is today, servicing a broad area with a robust customer base.

When he decided the time had come to retire, we were able to offer him an exit strategy that would carry on the work he started. We are happy to enter this new market through a well-established name in the business and look forward to all that the future holds in this new part of the country.
“I have taken care of my clients and staff with the utmost respect and service,” Jarrell shared, “I feel Pye-Barker will continue to uphold these standards.”
Aaron Jarrell grew up in the fire protection industry, servicing extinguishers at the early age of ten with his father. This planted a love for safety that would later inspire him to join the Louisville, Kentucky Fire Department and provide him with the knowledge to start his own fire protection company.
Jarrell founded Pro Fire Extinguishment in 2009. When he started it, he was a business of one, doing everything himself. As he grew the business, his remained focused on customer service. Pro Fire became a full service company, offering the inspection, maintenance, and installation of fire extinguishers, fire alarm, monitoring, fire sprinkler, kitchen suppression, backflow, and emergency lighting.
When Jarrell retired from his position as a Major in the Louisville Fire Department earlier this year, he decided he was also ready to leave the management of his company in another’s capable hands. In his words, Pye-Barker approached him with this opportunity “at the perfect time.”
“I have taken care of my clients and staff with the utmost respect and service,” Jarrell shared, “I feel Pye-Barker will continue to uphold these standards.”
We will certainly do so, Aaron! Kentucky, we look forward to helping you protect what matters most.
